Don D.Harvey

Don D. Harvey is an award winning singer and songwriter from LaCrosse Wisconsin. He is not only an acoustic guitar player, and a harmonica
virtuoso but a true entertainer. Don performs a high energy solo act, and is a member of the Third Planet acoustic electric duo.
  Don played with the country and southern rock group Tennessee for nine years. The band was a regional favorite, opening for many national acts and winning several contests and awards. He released his first CD of all original songs with a Tennessee reunion concert in the year 2000.

  Don was raised in the Mississippi river town of Winona Minnesota. He received his degree in Industrial Education from Winona State University and began teaching in Austin Minnesota. While in Austin, Don bought his first guitar and soon began performing at open stage events. 
  His talents caught the eye of a local band leader and music store operator who quickly made him lead singer of the “Shakin Loose” band. Even after moving to LaCrosse he was still returning to Austin to play with the band.
  While teaching in Holmen Wisconsin Don was performing in the Rising Stars trio with his wife and various guitar players. When their first child was born Becca got out of the music business and Don soon joined the Tennessee band.

  Now Don performs as a solo act and as part of the Third Planet duo around the Midwest. He is also founding member of the LaCrosse area Songwriters Corner monthly event, and will soon take a songwriters show on the road.
  Despite his success in the music business, Don is not quite ready to quit his day job. Don enjoys teaching graphic arts and photography at Holmen High School. He is also a family man with two daughters. Don and loves to play golf, tennis, and spend time on the water in a kayak.
